Kobe is not the most athletic but he is probably the smartest player in the league right now. He is a threat from the 18-25 foot area. His signature fadeaway and  his pullup jumper are his most threatening plays. He is the arguably the best clutch player second only to Jordan. When your down 2 with 3 seconds left and you need to win Kobe is the person you want to get the ball to. Kobe's foot work is unparalleled in the league. He can shoot really tough shots with the defender all over him. His defense is not as good as his offense but it is not bad either. He is sometimes selfish and take impossible unneccessary shots. The Lakers have a lost a few games due this one man play.

He is more known for his poster dunks and layups though he has greatly improved his jumpshots lately. He is in his prime and has improved his overall game.When a defender is smaller he uses his size. When a defender is bigger he uses his speed. He is an equal threat in the defensive end. His athleticism is his greatest weapon but this might not last with age. He is not known for his clutch plays and is sometimes totally out of the zone in the 4th quarter.
